Mark Gasiorowski is professor of political science at Tulane University. He is author of US Foreign Policy and the Shah: Building a Client State in Iran and co-editor of Neither East Nor West: Iran, The Soviet Union, and the United States and Mohammad Mosaddeq and the 1953 Coup in Iran.Sean L. Yom is associate professor of political science at Temple University. He specializes in the history and development of authoritarian states in the Middle East, as well as contemporary issues of American foreign policy and democratic reform in the Arab world. He is the author of From Resilience to Revolution: How Foreign Interventions Destabilize the Middle East.
