About the Author

Chuck Sambuchino is the author of 20+ books, including the Guide to Literary Agents (250,000 copies sold of all editions), and the humor book How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack (Ten Speed Press), which sold 100,000+ copies and was optioned by Sony Pictures. He is a professional editor and the founder of Writing Day Workshops, which plans writers’ conferences all over the country as well as online. Chuck is involved in the Ohio pickleball scene. He lives in Cincinnati with his 10-year-old daughter, who got her first pickleball paddle last year.

Mike Deas is an illustrator of children’s books and graphic novels. Mike’s love for illustrative storytelling comes from an early love of reading and drawing while growing up on the west coast of Canada on Salt Spring Island. Capilano College’s Commercial Animation Program in Vancouver helped Mike fine-tune his drawing skills and imagination. Work as a concept artist, texture artist, and art lead in the video game industry took Mike to England and California. Mike lives with his family on sunny Salt Spring Island.
