Kathy Freston is a food and wellness writer with a focus on a plant-based diet. Her advocacy to move away from eating animals spans concern for human health as well as animal and environmental welfare.

She is the author of eight books, four of them instant New York Times bestsellers; her works include The Lean, Veganist, and Quantum Wellness. A media favorite, Kathy has appeared frequently on national television, including Ellen, Dr. Oz, Charlie Rose, Good Morning America, The Talk, Extra and Oprah.
