About the Author

Nathalie Lété studied art and fashion in Paris and lives and works in France. Her father was Chinese, and her mother was German. Her parents’ cultures inspired her love for vintage illustrated children’s books, folk art, antique toys, engravings of flowers and animals, and colorful textiles. She spent her childhood drawing, knitting, and tinkering with materials such as cardboard and string. As an only child, she took inspiration from fairy tales to create imaginary worlds for herself filled with majestic woodland creatures and whimsical objects. Today, through painting, ceramics, embroidery, and other mediums, Nathalie creates dreamlike worlds that are full of fantasy and harmony.
